Terms of Service and Conditions
Effective Date: 02/05/2026
Last Updated: 02/05/2026
Welcome to Power To Ukraine ('P2U,' 'the Project,' 'we,' 'our,' 'us'). P2U is operated with the support of ZipOps, which provides the technology platform, donation processing, and related services that power this site ('the Platform'). These Terms of Service and Conditions of Use ('Terms') govern your use of the Platform, whether as a Donor, a registered donor, or a visitor. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Platform
P2U delivers decentralised emergency energy services — including local solar generation, the Strategic Battery Reserve, portable battery units, and EV-based Community Mobility Services — to Ukrainian communities affected by power outages, beginning with a pilot in the Kherson region.
ZipOps provides the technology, donation processing, and related infrastructure that allow Donors to support the P2U Project. ZipOps and P2U's local Community Energy and Mobility Partners are responsible for delivering the services described on this site, but ZipOps does not itself guarantee the outcome of any specific deployment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform or make a donation.
By using the Platform, you represent that all information you provide — including for donor registration — is accurate, current, and complete.
3. Donations
• Donations to the P2U Project are voluntary and non-refundable, except as required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.
• A standard donation does not create any ownership, equity, profit-sharing, or investment rights in P2U, ZipOps, or any related entity. Any such rights are only available through the separate registered-donor investment process described in Section 8.
• Donors are solely responsible for confirming amounts and payment details before submitting a donation.
• Donations may be made publicly or anonymously, at the Donor's choice, subject to Section 10.
4. Campaign Organiser Responsibilities
• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information about campaigns.
• Use funds only for the purposes stated in campaign materials.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and tax obligations.
• Accept the risk that funds may be delayed due to verification, compliance checks, or payment processor requirements.
ZipOps reserves the right to remove or suspend campaigns that violate these Terms.
5. Use of Funds
Donations support the activities described on the Platform, including but not limited to solar and battery infrastructure, the Strategic Battery Reserve, portable battery units ('TommyCans'), Community Energy Service and Community Mobility Service operations, and related training and community programmes.
P2U and ZipOps will make reasonable efforts to use donations as described, but do not guarantee a specific outcome, timeline, or allocation. Given the conditions in which P2U operates — including an active conflict environment — projects may be delayed, modified, paused, or scaled back due to security conditions, infrastructure access, regulatory or compliance requirements, or circumstances beyond our control. Donors acknowledge and accept these risks when contributing.
6. Fees
Donations may be subject to platform service fees and payment processing charges, which are disclosed at checkout. The net amount available to fund P2U activities may differ from the total amount donated.
7. Risks
By donating, you acknowledge:
• The inherent risks of crowdfunding.
• The possibility of misrepresentation, delays, or project failure.
• That neither ZipOps nor P2U guarantees campaign outcomes.
8. User Conduct
• Use the Platform for fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful activities.
• Post, upload, or distribute harmful, abusive, or defamatory content.
• Attempt to interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the Platform.
• Circumvent payment processing or attempt to avoid applicable fees.
9. Privacy & Data
Personal information is processed according to our Privacy Policy. Donors may choose to appear publicly or remain anonymous. Campaign Organisers may access donor information only for campaign related purposes and must handle it securely.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform (logos, trademarks, designs, software, etc.) is owned or licensed to ZipOps. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit Platform content without prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
Neither ZipOps nor P2U is liable for delays, disruptions, or changes in project delivery caused by the conflict in Ukraine, infrastructure conditions, regulatory requirements, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We are not responsible for guaranteeing specific project outcomes or impact figures. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount of fees paid (if any) to ZipOps in connection with your use of the Platform.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZipOps, P2U, its officers, employees, and partners against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Platform, campaigns, or donations.
13. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account and access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, applicable laws, or engage in harmful activity.
14. Modifications
ZipOps may amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be effective when posted on the Platform. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.
